Katie was one of a kind, she was always smiling and always happy. She was very popular and was very kind and helpful. She was doing A-Levels at the Deepings, she wanted to go to uni to study Sports therapy.
Katie was born on 27th February 1989 to Kevin and Christine Shields. She leaves behind also a little sister Victoria (Tortie), uncles, aunts, cousins and many many friends.
Katie died in a car accident out side her house on the 26th April 2007, she was driving! The person who caused the accident still lives, as they say its the innocent who always die!
Katie will be missed by many people.

Katie got her justice on the 8th of May 2008 it was a long year for Katies friends and family but the man responcible has been found guitly.

I'll always remember Katie, I was in the same class as her at Tae Kwon Do, she taught me so much it was unreal. Despite only being a few years younger I always looked up to her. We were never truly friends but she impacted my life in such a big way. She was always so kind and her determination inspired me. I was devisted the day my grandad (who helped alongside Jon to teach her Tae Kwon Do) told me she had died, I still have the newspaper cutting kept in my memory box. She'll always be missed, by so many people, she had no idea the impact she had and still has on my life. R.I.P.xx

nearly 2 years on and it still makes me cry
I've just found this website and i'm sat here crying and laughing. I don't understand to this day how you can suddenly be taken from us. So young, kind and caring. You are an amazing person and i miss you so much. There's not a day that goes by when i don't wish you were here.
